Fort Lauderdale Boat Show

Each year Fort Lauderdale hosts two important events for those who love being on the water: Oceanfest in mid-May and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in the beginning of November.
The Boat Show displays everything from 200-foot yachts to 11-foot personal craft. In fact, the show is so large that exhibits are displayed at six marinas across Fort Lauderdale and at the Broward County Convention Center. It is the superyachts, though, that are one of the show's primary draws.
On average, there are usually in excess of 200 sea-going beauties on display, some valued at up to $25 million.

Of course, it's not just boats on display; a complete range of boating accessories are also exhibited. Here you will find impressive electronic gadgetry for the marine enthusiast, truly state-of-the-art.
The show includes many special activities, such as ones in the past with fishing clinics for kids, special debut presentation of a film on sting rays in the Cayman Islands by noted documentary producer Guy Harvey, and more.
Last time we checked (you'll need to verify current rates) admission prices were $14 for general admission, with special rates for multiple days, children and guests of exhibitors.
So plan a trip to Fort Lauderdale to coincide with the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. It's a great vacation for those with either a casual or professional interest in boating.
